Sustainable Features
Each cabin was built using local and recycled timbers and is powered by a stand alone solar photo voltaic system with gas cooking and hot water system.

Cabins use low energy compact fluorescent and LED lights and with only one fridge, no air conditioning but multi speed reversible ceiling fans the cabins’ carbon footprint is virtually nil.

A number of submerged and above ground rainwater tanks feed the house and cabins and sewerage is taken care of on site using a gravel / reed wet cell system.

We can arrange a short tour of the sustainable features of our retreat during your stay.
