Minimal impact on our natural surroundings
- Each cabin was built using local and recycled timbers
- Cabins are powered by a stand alone solar photo voltaic system with gas cooking and hot water system.
- Cabins use low energy compact fluorescent and LED lights and with only one fridge, no air conditioning but multi speed reversible ceiling fans the cabins’ carbon footprint is virtually nil.
- A number of submerged and above ground rainwater tanks feed the house and cabins and sewerage is taken care of on site using a gravel / reed wet cell system.
